When are the 2012 Income Limits effective? The 2012 Income Limits released by HUD are effective December 1, 2011.
I just processed my recertifications for January 1, 2012. Will these changes affect my recertifications, or does it only effect new move-ins? Income Limits only address project eligibility for Move-Ins. However, the income limits that are printed on the January recertifications will be the old ones. Unless your Contract Administrator (CA) requires that you do Corrections to these, don't worry about them.
Are the income limit changes for Tax Credit properties? No; these Income Limits are just for the HUD MultiFamily Division (all project-based subsidy types). HUD does not set income limits for the Tax Credit Program, since that program is not under the HUD umbrella.
