TRACS 203A Delayed Indefinitely

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

The release of TRACS 203A has been delayed ‘indefinitely’. Jeanette Claus, CPA, COS, Director of PMCS, attended the industry meeting held in Washington, D.C. January 9-10, 2018 where the announcement was made to those in attendance.. TRACS 203A was previously scheduled to go live February 1, 2018 with a four-month transition period, per RHIIP ListServ #386, but TRACS can no longer meet this schedule.

Lanier Hylton, Office of Multifamily Housing Programs, announced that the internal software used for TRACS processing is being upgraded. It is estimated that the software upgrade will take at least six months of intensive focus and testing by the conversion team; and that HUD cannot accept TRACS 203A MAT files until the internal upgrade is completed.

After a lengthy discussion at the TRACS meeting, it was decided that no date for the TRACS 203A release would be given, until the conversion team was further along in the process and a more solid date for TRACS 203A implementation could be released to the industry. Lanier is hopeful that TRACS 203A will be implemented in 2018.

At this time, HUD has not issued a formal memo to the industry. Watch our website for further updates from HUD!
